    Hi -
The MP3 and brief video is well done. Blogging is a powerful marketing tool. I can see where planning and strategy are important tools. Thanks for a great blog!

I’m glad you enjoyed it and I hope you gained a few tips for your own guest blogging! You’re right…planning and strategy are important. As the saying goes, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” And the same is true for guest blogging.

I highly recommend all authors consider guest blogging and a “Virtual Book Tour” as one of your book marketing strategies.

Blogging is a very powerful tool! More so than any other social media.

Yes it is! Blogging is rising to the top for effectiveness in reaching your target audience. Your blog or website then ends up being the “hub” of all your other social media marketing tools.

Great ideas, Shelley. My biggest take-away from both the audio clip and the video clip was the need to plan your approach as well as your execution with guest blogging. Put a system into place and work that system. Good stuff!

L.Diane – yes…blogging is such a powerful tool and continues to rise to the top. Our blog or website then ends up becoming the “hub” of the rest of our social media sites :)

Wendy – once you have a system in place and do a tour once, you can repeat the same system over and over (making small improvements, of course!).

Systems are powerful for all aspects of our marketing. I am now developing templates and checklists for the tasks that I do that are repeated often. That way, it helps me do them quicker and more efficient!
